Our Anniversary Gift to Ourselves: Carlsbad, CA

After happily ever after in El Paso we couldn't just stop there

especially since life just keeps getting better...

People ask us what we did for our 1 Year Anniversary and our response is: We moved to Carlsbad, CA. They seem somewhat unimpressed, but moving from El Paso to Carlsbad is seriously a HUGE gift to us.

Its kind of like finally getting to the Promised Land after wandering the desert.

Here is a picture of Carlsbad in regards to downtown San Diego to give everyone better perspective. Carlsbad is roughly 30 minutes from downtown San Diego and we love it!

After caravaning the honcho trailer and dinky trailer for what felt like 40 years across the deserts of Texas, New Mexico, AZ, and Cali we arrived safety to our Promised Land.

And here it is, our cute little beach house.

1.2 miles to the sandy beaches and pacific ocean...could this be our milk and honey?!

Honestly, it felt like getting married again, but this time we got to choose even more sweet stuff and pick an even better place to live.

Besides "simply" moving to Carlsbad, we did go out to eat at In & Out for a romantical California dinner.

We aslo enjoyed following the tradition of cutting the top of our wedding cake.

Lastly, we went to the Carlsbad Flower Fields to enjoy the 50 acres of Rannunculous

- which happen to be our WEDDING FLOWERS!! -

One year down, a million to go and we love it.
