Happy Thanksgiving 2011! (design by Scotty Walton)
Since we switch major holidays between families - this year we went to
the Theisen's in Minnesota, to celebrate Thanksgiving!
Here we are in front of the giant Christmas Tree at the Arboretum. We had a great Theisen potluck Thanksgiving in the Fireplace room at the Arboretum this year. It was really a beautiful place and we got to listen to the Minnesota Choir sing Carols, and enjoy all the creative decorations.
We also had a Thanksgiving meal at Eric's parents house, with the always exciting D'Amore girls.

And the major event of Thanksgiving Break:
Replacing a rotted culvert and the mass murder of a small forest.

Dustin may not be equal in size to the Theisens, but he sure is strong - ONE HAND?! Get out Dustin!
The slow bully-stalk before the kill...these poor ugly trees knew it was over.
Behold! Randy even decided to do a little manual labor himself. The family watched in disbelief...
How Randy got that saw out of the Kinches hands, no one knows. I suspect it was the flash of the Yellow Gloves... Regardless, it was a good thing he gave it back because let me tell you, the Kinches have mad chain saw skills! I really regret not taking a picture of Tara and Jon sawing away like they were born holding those things!
At the end of all this action, I learned in Minnesota there are "bad ugly trees" which must be . I also learned that the Theisen clan is like a small army, and in all seriousness their teamwork was truly beautiful.
